During the last quarter of the 2014-2015 academic year for California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), Dr. Foster visited the campus in San Luis Obispo and delivered several lectures about OT and mentored a number of undergraduate students. Below is a copy of the letter that Dr. Foster received from Kristi Weddige, Director of Advising in the College of Mathematics and Science Advising Center. It is worth noting that she is also the Academic and Pre-Health Professions Advisor, someone who has a great deal of interaction with health and medical professionals.
Hello Stephanie,
I hope you had an enjoyable memorial day weekend!
I just wanted to formally thank you for taking the time to speak to my SCM 101 class. It was a very engaging presentation and I know that several students are now considering the OT profession based on what they learned from you! So, thank you for taking the time to drive all the way to SLO to speak to these students!! On behalf of the students, we truly appreciate it!
As an fyi, I’ll be in touch with you over in the next month if I have a student who is interested in shadowing you through my BIO 253 course.
Take Care,
Kristi
