OTAC Conf CoverDr. Foster will present at this year’s Occupational Therapy Association of California (OTAC) conference to be held at the Hyatt Regency and Sacramento Convention Center. The conference begins October 22 and will continue through October 25.

Dr. Foster’s presentation, “Impact of Technology Use on the Developing Child’s Brain,” is scheduled for a two-hour block on the second day of the conference.  In addition to addressing how technology has made our lives easier in some respects, Dr. Foster will also cover how technology affects relationships, attention spans, and social skills.

If you are in the Sacramento area during the conference and wish to learn more about the impact technology use has on the child’s brain, feel free to join Dr. Foster for the 1:00-3:00 session. In addition to Dr. Foster’s contribution, one may find several other presentations of interest. OTAC Conference CoverThe conference theme, “In Pursuit of the Vision: Transforming Lives through the Magic of Occupation,” suggests a range of options and activities.

If you are unable to attend the conference, but still wish to learn more about the affects of technology on brain development, watch for future blog posts that explore this topic with greater detail.
