We are pleased to announce that Dr. Stephanie Foster has earned the International Yoga Alliance designation of Registered Yoga Teacher 500.
Dr. Foster has completed a 300 hour yoga teacher training certification over the past year. According to the International Yoga Alliance, an RYT500 is a teacher who has successfully completed a 500-hour yoga teacher training that is registered with Yoga Alliance. Dr. Foster trained under Prema Yoga master teacher, Lisa Marie Jansen. Dr. Stephanie especially focused on how self-regulation is enhanced and intensified from a regular yoga practice. During this training, she published You-Tube videos on Pratyahara (a sensory withdrawal technique) and a yoga class for Yoga for Women over 50. She created a 2.5 hour workshop focused on helping Women over 50 years old remain active and healthy through a regular yoga practice.
This yoga certification is used during her Occupational Therapy sessions with children who have difficulty with self-regulation. You might find her offering deep breathing or strength & flexibility training during a session. This is just one more way Kid’s Work Therapy helps children to focus and function without medication.
You can sign up for her yoga sessions both on her website www.kidsworktherapy.com and directly with her at Stephanie@kidsworktherapy.com.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Foster in this accomplishment. Ahhh, breathe!
